The average gas price for Belarus in 2011 could reach $220 per thousand cubic meters against $185 in 2010. This was reported by "Gazprom" deputy chairman Andrei Kruglov. "This price is formed considering the absence of a reducing factor in 2011," a "Gazprom" spokesman noted.
According to him, the reducing factor to the contract gas price for Belarus amounted to 0.8 in 2009, in 2010 — 0.9, in 2011 — 1, «Vesti».
«Should the oil price next year be equal to the one in the fourth quarter of this year, the average price for Belarus is expected to be about $220 per thousand cubic meters in 2011. I think that this year’s average gas price for Belarus will be about $185 per thousand cubic meters,» Kruglov said.
Andrei Kruglov also confessed of his being unaware of Russia’s plans for the possible introduction of export duties on gas prices for Belarus in 2011. «We are party to Russian legislation, the Customs Union entity and I don’t know about any fees, at least, up to now,» the deputy head of «Gazprom» said.
According to him, the company is not planning additional investments in the Belarusian economy in 2011. In particular, «we have no arrangements to increase the share in «Beltransgaz», Andrey Kruglov said.
