Gas Supplies to Lithuania and Kaliningrad via Belarus Decreased by One Third

Press office of the company — gas supplier, Lietuvos dujos, reported on June 23 that deliveries of Russian "blue fuel" to Lithuania and Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation through Belarus were reduced by 30%. As specified in the company, the changes in gas supplies began to occur around 12:00.

«Analyzing the readings of sensors, limitations, applied by Belarusian side, total about 30% of overall needs of Lithuania and Kaliningrad region», reads the statement of Lietuvos dujos, which full text presented by RIA Novosti.

Meanwhile, Poland gets Russian gas, transporting through Belarus, in full amount. As reported in Polish oil and gas company, PGNiG, «currently, supplies of natural gas on Polish-Belarusian border are carried out under usual scheme in the amounts, stipulated in the contract».

«If the volume of supplies through Belarus changes, PGNiG will report it additionally», the company spokeswoman, Joanna Zakrzewska, said.
 
As Telegraf previously reported, on June 22 in the afternoon, Belarusian president, Alexander Lukashenko, promised to limit Russian gas supplies to European consumers, realized through the territory of Belarus, in response to Russia’s refusal to repay transit’s arrears and taken decision to reduce «blue fuel» supply to Belarus.
