Alexei Miller, the chairman of the board of directors of Gazprom, stated that if Minsk didn't refund money for gas till June, 21st, Russia can reduce delivery of "blue fuel" to Belarus by 85 %. According to the head of the Russian gas holding, the Russian authorities made this "considering the cost of gas already delivered in June and debt amount of 192 million dollars".

«It is defined that the restriction will make 85 % from scheduled amount of gas delivery to Belarus. The rest 15 % will allow Belarus to maintain the gas-transport system in running order untill full indemnification of the outstanding debts», Alexei Miller said, passes news agency RIA Novosti informs.

As the head of Gazprom said, the Russian officials expect the  repayment of gas debts by Belarus, formed as a result of payment for deliveries in 2010 at the 2009-year price of 150 dollars for one thousand cubic metre instead of contract 169 dollars in the first quarter.

«The next letter with the requirement to adhere strictly to the contract and to pay debts was sent yesterday. However, as we have warned the Belarusian party if Beltransgaz doesn’t take any measures, Gazprom will impose restrictions on gas delivery to Belarus according to clause 6.4 of the contract from December, 31st, 2006, the chairman of the board of directors of gas monopolist said in the evening on June, 17th.
