General Prosecutor's Office has developed a state program on combating corruption for 2010-2012. As declared by Deputy Prosecutor General of Belarus, Viktor Konon, "there are also revolutionary ideas — including, in regard to international amnesty". Currently, the program to be discussed by all concerned departments.

After that, the document will be approved by the president of Belarus, Victor Konon reported, however, the representative of the General Prosecutor’s Office did not specify what the revolutionary ideas to be implemented in the fight against corruption, BelTA informs.

At the seventh session of the republican coordination meeting on combating corruption, deputy general prosecutor also expressed «serious complaints» to the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance and in general to the government of Belarus.

«Unfortunately, one of three corruption crimes is committed in the sphere of these ministries and departments activities, this fact alarms the General Prosecutor’s Office», Victor Konon noted and called the tender and procurement procedures abroad as «major disaster» of these agencies.

Due to the fact that especially in this area there are observed more violations and government money drains abroad, the representative of the General Prosecutor’s Office called on Ministry of Economy to make procurement procedure more transparent.
