Belarusian authorities forbad their nationals to visit Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Alexander Nalbandov, said. "This Belarus' step should be appreciated, as this country is under tremendous Russia's yoke", Georgian diplomat stated.

Alexander Nalbandov also explained that «at the moment when there happened a grievous fact of our regions’ occupation, we addressed almost all countries, asking them to take into account that any business activity in occupied areas is illegal, and, moreover, it is dangerous,» AFN informs.

As Telegraph already reported, a few days earlier, Mikheil Saakashvili met with the president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko in the Crimea, where both had come to congratulate the president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, on his birthday.

The warming in relations between the two countries came after Belarusian parliament had refused to recognize the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

Moreover, on Thursday evening, July 15, First channel of Belarusian TV will show an exclusive interview with Georgian President, Mikheil Saakashvili.
