Government Bans Export of Waste Paper from Belarus

June 9, the Government of Belarus issued a decree № 749, which temporarily banned the export of waste paper from the country. "July 1, 2011 to January 1, 2012 ban the export of recyclable paper or paperboard (waste and scrap) (code 4707 Unified Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Customs Union) from the Republic of Belarus," the document says.

According to the decree, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall notify the Commission of the Customs Union about the ban, as well as to invite the Commission to consider the application of illogical actions by other CU member-countries, AFN.

According to Telegraf, Belarus has imposed restrictions on export of motor fuel since June 11. According to the Decree № 753 of the Council of Ministers, individuals may take a car «tank plus ten liters» out of the Customs Union, and «once in five days.»
