Grandson Brings Robbers to Grandfather's Apartment in Minsk

76-year-old pensioner applied to the police and asked to institute criminal proceedings against two strangers, who had broken through an unlocked door into his apartment and had stolen Br4 million from the safe. As shown by the investigation, the grandson of the victim let the thieves come into the house. It was reported by the press officer of Frunze district police department of Minsk, Alla Golubovich.

Law enforcers found out that a week before the incident, 26-year-old young man, living with his grandfather, had drunk alcohol in a company of his unemployed friends, previously convicted for robbery and theft. During the conversation he told them that in the safe of his grandfather there was a certain amount of money.

Drunken company though up a plan of robbery and make it a reality within a week. While the grandfather was being asleep, the grandson let his friends come into the apartment and showed them where his grandfather’s room and safe were situated and went for a walk. Later, he tried to convince investigators that supposedly went to visit his sister. At this time, the robbers broke into a pensioner’s apartment and, beating him, took the key from the safe and stole Br4 million. However, the raiders did not give the grandson his share.
