Half of Belarusians Dissatisfied with their Income Level, Poll

Wage Indicator Foundation published a report for the fourth quarter of 2010, examining working conditions and salaries in 22 states, comparing the data of 190 thousand anonymous questionnaires from the national sites of work and wages. According to the document, 50.1% of respondents are dissatisfied with the level of received income, while 23.9% of them are extremely dissatisfied.

Other 30.9% could not express their attitude to their wages, while 15.4% of the population were satisfied with their earnings. With regard to the number of «very satisfied with their salaries,» this figure in Belarus is much lower than in Azerbaijan, the website «Moia zarplata

Thus, 19.7% of respondents indicated their «full satisfaction with the salary» in Azerbaijan, 11.9% — in Colombia, 9.5% — in the USA, 3.7% — in Belarus and 2. 7%- in the UK.

The most satisfied with their income in Belarus the heads of departments of personnel. 66.67% of representatives of the profession expressed dissatisfaction of their salaries. Sellers were the least satisfied with the salary.

Belarusian situation with the predominant number of the dissatisfied with their income is similar to another 20 countries. Azerbaijan and Holland are the only exceptions.

Experts estimate that the proportion of the satisfied and dissatisfied with the income level in all countries does not depend on the level of economic development. For example, Spain shows the proportion of 20.4%, the UK — 32.5%. The developing countries of Latin America are in similar situation. For example, this figure in Brazil is 29.2%; 35.9% —  in Argentina.
