Belarus, Russia and China began to work on the first stage of the project to build a high-speed railway between Minsk and Moscow. It was reported by the head of Belarusian Railways, Anatoly Sivak. "At present, the project is at the first stage. The second stage will be the preparation of project feasibility study", the head of BZD stated.

According to him, the parties plan to build a new railway where the train speed will reach 300 km/h, RIA Novosti informs.

Nevertheless, Anatoly Sivak did not inform about the time of construction and funding amounts.

As Telegraf previously reported, in Belarus, it’s planned to buy prototypes of rail buses from abroad to study their effectiveness when used in railway sections with small number of passengers. They are planned to be tested in sections of Gomel-Khoiniki and Kalinkovichi-Slovechno of Gomel office of Belarusian Railways.
