Hungarians Teach Professionalism to Belarusian Police

Training courses for 25 representatives of the Belarusian police will start with OSCE support in Minsk on October 11. Participants will be improved in modern methods of police training. Two police officers from Hungary will become instructors for the five-day course, the OSCE office in Minsk.

«Good training of police officers is the foundation of professional police service,» the head of the OSCE office in Minsk, Ambassador Benedikt Haller said.

«These courses are aimed to improve the law enforcement service in Belarus in accordance with international standards by introducing modern methods of police training, including the methodology of learning through dialogue, where the main acting part is not for a teacher, but the participants,» Benedikt Haller added.

Courses were organized by the Division for Strategic Affairs of the police of the OSCE Secretariat. Belarusian police training takes place in the framework of the OSCE to improve policing in order to strengthen national systems of legal justice.
