I Dream to Deal only with Human Rights, Lukashenko

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has stated that he has to work in many areas and do almost everything. "My dream is to deal only with human rights, to ensure a decent salary so that nobody could come in and say: you know, I like it — give it to me, as it happens to our neighbors," Alexander Lukashenko said, noting that "we seem not to have such things."

This was stated by Head of State in Beshenkovichy during a working trip to Vitsebsk voblast on May 13, where he also noticed «great potential for private sector development.»

Belarusian president spoke with the head of a joint enterprise with Russia «Vitkonprodukt,» Vladimir Nekrashevich, (the company produces meat of broiler chickens and semis). «What spurs you? This is your life, your bread. My job is only to ensure human rights, the head of the holding company and all the people,» BelTA quoted Alexander Lukashenko.

«Yes, we don’t appeal to them (the neighboring countries — Telegraf) because they feel that we are competitors, and will choke at all fronts,» said the president. According to him, the main result is reached — «queue for the Belarusian products.»

Only Sick Man Admits No Need for Private Ownership, Lukashenko

Head of State is satisfied with the work results of the head of Vitkontprodukt Limited Liability Company. «Nobody would say that we have no private entrepreneurs in agriculture,» said the Belarusian leader.

«Only sick man can say that the president does not need private ownership,» said Alexander Lukashenko.

In addition, he reported that Vitkontprodukt work is exemplary for the republic.

As Telegraf previously reported, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on May 12, urging the EU to extend the restrictive measures against the Belarusian regime, including introduction of point economic sanctions. This decision was made in connection with criminal prosecutions of protesters on December 19, 2010 and pressure on independent media in Belarus.
