Inflation For Three Months is Less Than 2.5%, Semashko

First Vice-Premier of Belarus, Vladimir Semashko, reported on April 8, that according to official data, for the first three months of this year, inflation in the country amounted to 2.5%. At the same time, as the first deputy head of the Government noted, this level is one of the lowest among the post-Soviet countries.

As an example, Vladimir Semashko gave the respective figures in Russia (3.2%), Ukraine (4.7%) and Kazakhstan (2.9%), BelTA informs.

As Telegraf previously reported, according to Belarusian National Statistics Committee data, in January-February of 2010, food prices in Belarus increased by 1.7%. In February, food prices increased by 0.9, comparing with January. The specialists of National Statistics Committee noted that, above all, rose in price: sugar (by 15.9%), potatoes (9%), fruit (7.1%), vegetables (4%).
