Prices in Belarus increased by 20.2% from January 1 till June 1. Deputy Economy Minister of Belarus Andrei Tur informed on this on June 3. "I can report that on June 1, inflation will be 20.2%, "- he said.
As Telegraf informed, on May 23, Andrei Tur said that by June 1, prices in the country would grow by 15%. «This is the calculation based on the exchange rate for today» — he explained. In this case, according to Deputy Economy Minister, by the end of the year inflation would be 33-39%, if the situation is stable.
It is predicted that prices, for example, on foreign drugs, should grow by more than 50% due to devaluation of the ruble. Food also becomes more expensive. People buy up food, trying to stock up before the new price increase.
