Increase in real wages is the most important task, which the authorities must carry out this year. It was said by Alexander Lukashenko on April 20, in his annual address to Belarusian people and the parliament. According to the President, wage increases should take place "in all spheres and industries of economy and in enterprises of all forms of property".
«It is very difficult. But what we promised the people must be fulfilled», the President of Belarus noted. Alexander Lukashenko demanded the government to begin realizing the issue of working out flexible wage systems, which would take into account the efficiency of each employee’s contribution, the financial capacity of enterprises and especially industries, BelTA informs.
According to Belarusian leader, the thing is not only in the performance of planned indicators of wage increase — but «it is necessary to modernize the wage system, breaking formalism and wage levelling while constructing it».
The real sector of economy requires additional measures to establish direct dependence of salary increase from indices of production efficiency and product quality, and also improvement of labour productivity, the head of state underlined. «If you have money — pay, reckon with the budget on taxes and other payments — and pay», Alexander Lukashenko said.
