Justice Ministries of Belarus and Russia Agreed on Cooperation

A cooperation program between Justice Ministries of Belarus and Russia for 2011-2012 was signed during the joint work of the Justice Ministries of the Union State member-countries. At the board meeting the sides discussed major issues of integration legal cooperation between the two countries.

Representatives of the Justice Ministry of Belarus and Russia discussed the progress of the intergovernmental agreement on mutual introduction of marks, indicating the conclusion or dissolution of marriage in the passports of citizens of both countries. In addition, the parties discussed preparation for the signing of the intergovernmental agreement on the order of mutual execution of court rulings in cases involving alimony, BelTA informs.

During the meeting, representatives of the Justice Ministries of Belarus and Russia also agreed to undertake an anti-corruption expertise of legal acts of the Union State, having agreed to jointly develop the mechanisms for its implementation.

Board of the Ministry of Justice was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of the Russian Justice Minister Alexander Konovalov and the Belarusian Minister of Justice Viktor Holovanov. The meeting was also attended by the Secretary of State of the Union State Pavel Borodin and representatives of the Union State Permanent Committee.
