The workers of Central Department for Stuff Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus and their colleagues from the Committee for State Security (KGB) arrested senior operative of the Department for Struggle against Economic Crimes (DSEC) of the Municipal Department of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee, the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus informed.
The detailed information about the case isn’t disclosed yet not to impede the investigation. However it is known that upon the detained DSEC operative a criminal case under part 2. art. 424 of Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus was initiated.
According to the materials collected by the workers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and KGB, the detained policeman abused office powers in August-September last year. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and KGB, DSEC operative of Minsk supported financially and prepared false documents to legalise abroad his 29-year-old acquaintance who escaped from police after being arrested for swindle and subornation.
