A former chairman of the BPF Party, Vintsuk Vyachorka, believes that Grigory Kostusev, elected a candidate for Belarus' presidency from the BPF Party, "will play a transitional role". According to the opposition politician, the candidate for the presidency from the BPF Party has little chances to win the elections.

«I think that sooner or later Kostusev is to withdraw his candidacy in favor of Alexander Milinkevich. Because all the people who work for Milinkevich, but are the members of BPF Sojm, voted for Kostusev at the Congress», Euramost.org quotes Vintsuk Vyachorka.

According to the BPF Party member, Kostusev himself has «minimal» chances at these elections. «It’s very little time to prepare an independent candidate. There are only some six months left till the elections, and during this time there is a little can be done», the politician said.

Speaking on why the procedure of nominating the aspirant from the BPF was delayed, Vintsuk Vyachorka stated: «It was done deliberately by those who wanted to «put» the party under Milinkevich».

As Telegraf previously reported, Grigory Kostusev was elected for presidential candidate by participants of the extraordinary Congress of political force, held on May 29. As stated by party leader, Alexei Yanukevich, at the elections-2011, the BPF will fight on two fronts — against Alexander Lukashenko and pro-Russian candidate.
