Officers of the department of drug control and people traffic counteraction of City Internal Affairs Department and Central district Internal Affairs Department seized a large amount of CDs with videos of pornographic content at Zhdanovichy market. As reported in the police department on May 17, DVD sales outlet got in the field of view of police officers two weeks ago.
«We received an information that you can buy «blue movies» of any taste. In the course of verification activities the information was confirmed. It turned out that 24-year-old salesman can really offer a huge film library», reported in the city police.
During the inspection the officers found out that pornography is supplied by the sales outlet’s owner, 22-year-old Minsk resident.
The seller and owner of outlet were detained on May 14 straight on the market. At the time of arrest, the police found a box with 19 CDs with «blue movies» under the counter and then in the outlet owner’s car discovered 200 DVDs with pornography more, about 800 — in a kiosk used as a warehouse. In total, law enforcement officers seized 1.067 discs.
As explained in the city police department, «during a search of place of residence of the outlet’s owner, in the apartment of house 13 on Russiyanova street, there was detected computer equipment, which, according to law enforcers, was used to multiply pornographic material». «In addition to computer with a large collection of porn, a young man was seized a printer to print colorful covers, special equipment for cutting inserts, the lot of clean CDs», reported in the police department.
The investigative department of preliminary investigation of Central district Police Department initiated a criminal case under part 2 article 343 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus («Distribution of pornographic material») against the detainees, the sanctions provide penalties of imprisonment up to three years.
