Chairman of the United Civil Party, Anatoly Lebedko, called as unacceptable to be guided by just personal ambitions during the election campaign, as, he thinks, most of the potential presidential candidates do. "I suggest to the vast majority of aspirants to shove their ambitions into the place where nobody can see them", the UCP leader said.

«Most of the people with presidential ambitions have nothing except these ambitions. No team, no program, no resources, no understanding of how to reform the country», the UCP website quotes the politician.

«I want to say to all of them — work the same way as I do! Find your place, a niche where you will be useful and effective. The crisis creates a demand for a competitive candidate for presidency», the party’s leader convinced.

As Anatoly Lebedko believes, real contender for the presidency must be able to give «clear answers to the questions which trouble the majority of country voters» and have «clear understanding of what to do with the country, with the economy tomorrow, in a month, in a year».

As Telegraf previously reported, the UCP leader himself decided not to run for presidency in 2011, standing down the place of potential candidate to the party deputy chairman, Jaroslav Romanchuk, whose election platform is called «Million of new jobs for Belarus». In the case of the UCP representative’s electoral victory, Anatoly Lebedko intends to become a prime minister.
