Alexander Lukashenko addressed to the Chinese side to help in the stabilization of the foreign exchange market. "Chinese experts have been given the task, I asked them to assess the situation in the country, express their position, offer a way out of this situation and consider our chances," said President Alexander Lukashenko at his meeting with the head of Financial Markets Department of the People's Bank of China.
«It would be preferable if they could offer us one of the options for future strategies in the foreign exchange market, in particular the work of the National Bank. As I’ve been informed, the experts of China have answers to all these questions,» said the President, BelTA informs.
«A month ago, in connection with problems in the consumer and fx market, I listened not only to our government and representatives of the National Bank to stabilize the situation, but worked with the Russians, the world’s leading banks, listened to their assessments and proposals. The most important thing for me was to work with the Chinese experts, representatives of the People’s Bank of China,» said the president.
«Then I turned to my friend, Hu Jintao, through our friend, Ambassador of China in Belarus, as well as to the government, the leadership of the People’s Bank of China to send their experts and talk about the financial management system, formed in China,» said Alexander Lukashenko.
«We know that it does not appeal to the Americans, as it’s not some particular system, but nevertheless it is very effective and allows China to resolve any issues. We are very interested in it,» stated the President of Belarus.
Chinese are Most Honest, Lukashenko
Alexander Lukashenko also thanked the Chinese experts for their work. According to him, many of his positions coincide with their opinions.
He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the leadership of China for the very prompt response to his request and the work of the representatives of this country in Belarus. «We haven’t worked with such honest and responsible people so far,» said Alexander Lukashenko.
