Lukashenko Calls Children's Camps to Earn from Foreigners

During a visit to National children's educational and recreational center Zubrenok on July 30, the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, called to consider the possibility to give foreigners some places to stay in children's camps of the country. According to him, they will have to pay 100% of accommodation costs.

«Foreigners are not poor people, but we should create a normal base for recreation, to have good conditions, that it paid for itself», the head of state said, Charter 97 informs.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that in Belarus there created adequate infrastructure for quality children’s recreation. «There created enough for children, who are in need of rest, to stay in forest, go out to have a rest», the president noted, BelTA informs.

After the report of Zubenok director, Nadezhda Onufrieva, about plans to develop the camp, the head of state said that there was no need to expand the camp’s territory. According to him, «we should complete building what is planned, and then leave it». The president stated that other children’s camps and centers also should be developed, but without increasing the burden on the budget. «Let’s not expect that we are to expand this state social part», he stressed.

Then Alexander Lukashenko examined Zubrenok’s infrastructure, attended the opening of the military-sports Patriot game, which is held in conjunction with KGB. Among other things, the president participated in an event named Fire of Friendship, which was зажег struck by his son, Nikolai.

In conclusion, the children handed Alexander Lukashenko a handmade souvenir «Miracles in the basket».
