Alexander Lukashenko believes that the presidents will have time to meet more than once. «I think, in the near future we’ll consider the possibility of organizing such a meeting, which will show our true intentions with respect to each other», Belarusian leader said.

In his turn, Viktor Yanukovych expressed his confidence that the inter-regional cooperation between the two countries should serve as a good impetus for the trade’s development. «For the present, this key factor is not sufficiently used,» the president of Ukraine said.
Viktor Yanukovych underlined with satisfaction the ratification by Belarusian parliament of agreement on the demarcation of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. According to Ukrainian president, it discovers new opportunities for the development of trade and economic relations and new investment.

Viktor Yanukovych stressed that he initiated to hold an international conference on Chernobyl issues with the participation of donor countries in 2011 in Kiev. «We have agreed with you that we — as countries most affected by the Chernobyl disaster — should work together to defend our positions on this issue.
