President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has charged all state TV channels and mass media to abandon the broadcast of entertainment programs on Sunday, April 18, in connection with the funeral of Polish president, Lech Kaczynski, died in air crash near Smolensk. The Head of state also proposed non-government mass media to reconsider its broadcasting net, reported in the press service of the President.

According to the order of Alexander Lukashenko, the broadcast of TV shows and other entertainment programs will be limited from 12:00 to 18:00.

As Telegraf previously reported, the funeral of Polish presidential couple is scheduled for Sunday, April 18. Maria and Lech Kaczyński will be buried in Krakow at the territory of Wawel Castle, where Polish kings and famous poets went to their last home.

The desire to attend the ceremony was expressed by the U.S. president, Barack Obama, Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev, French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, German chancellor, Angela Merkel, Lithuanian president, Dalia Grybauskaite, and several other heads of states and governments.

The official Belarusian delegation to attend the ceremonies in Poland will be headed by the chairman of the Council of Republic of the National Assembly, Barys Batura.

In his turn, the representative of the Office of Polish President, Jacek Sasin, declared that because of volcanic eruption in Iceland, Polish authorities may postpone the funeral of President Lech Kaczynski in case of emergency, if the situation in the airspace does not change in connection with the volcanic ashes, and world leaders would not be able to fly to Krakow.

However, later, Jacek Sasin stated that the date of the funeral will not be postponed, because the next of kin of the dead do not want to do this.
