Co-Chair of Belarusian Christian Democracy (BCD), Paval Seviarynets, commenting on the setting of an extraordinary session of the House of Representatives on September 7 of this year, said that Belarusian leader "exploits some lucky date". "If I'm not mistaken, it was September 7, 2004, when there was declared the date of referendum on the cancellation of restrictions on the right to run for presidency", the politician said.

«There is only one question — to announce the date of presidential elections. The elections will take place before the New Year. In our activity we are basing on this point — from July 24, Vital Rymasheuski (representative of the Organizing Committee to establish the BCD — Telegraf) goes to the regions for six weeks», Paval Seviarynets said, Belarus partisan informs.

The politician also believes that «the authorities delayed the announcement of the presidential campaign till last moment in order to prevent the preparation for elections of other candidates and not to give Moscow some time for reflection».

«I do not think that Moscow made decision to remove Lukashenko. Most likely, it was decided to drive Lukashenko into a corner to get everything possible from him after that», Paval Seviarynets noted.

As Telegraf already reported, the president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, signed a decree to convene the fifth Extraordinary Session of the House of Representatives of the fourth convocation on September 7 of this year.

The MPs will meet to consider agenda issues, defined by the decision of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on June 30.
