Lukashenko Has BeHeaded the Council of the Republic

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on May 20 made some personnel decisions, according to which the upper house of the parliament has remained without a head. So, now ex-chairman of the Council of the Republic, Barys Batura, was appointed to the post of the head of Minsk Regional Executive Committee, Valery Ivanov became his first deputy.

As stated on this subject with reference to Belarusian leader in the press service of the head of state, Minsk region «is being reinforced with two highly skilled administrators with experience of working together». Held the post of chairman of Minsk regional executive committee, Leonid Krupets, released from duties due to with his transfer to another job.

In addition, on May 20, Alexander Lukashenko, has changed the leadership of Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs. Its former chief, Semyon Shapiro, will now hold the post of the chairman of Grodno regional executive committee and post of Minister of Agriculture has been taken by the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on the problems of the Chernobyl Catastrophe, Ecology and the Environment, Mikhail Rusy, told in the press service of the president.
