Lukashenko Increases Military and Police's Allowances for Degrees and Ranks

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has established the allowances for degrees for servicemen with academic degree; commanding staff of the Interior, State Control Committee of Financial Investigations, enforcement and emergency departments who serve in state institutions and other organizations, in the same size as for the public servants.

The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, by the decree № 175 on April 7, made amendments and additions to the Decree № 450 on September 25, 2007 «On establishment of additional payments for academic degrees and ranks».

In accordance with the decision, there is a bonus of 5% of the salary for candidate of science degree and 10% for PhD.

The press service of Belarusian president noted that there also introduced a rule which allows to assign allowances during the entire calendar year, but not only until January 15, as it was previously, if there is a right to receive them.

In the Presidential Administration emphasized, that adopted decree provides an integrated approach to establish allowances for academic degrees and ranks for all categories of working citizens. The decree enters into force after official publication.
