Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev, at a meeting in Kharkov with his Ukrainian counterpart, Viktor Yanukovych, commented on the granting of asylum in Belarus for Kyrgyz leader, Kurmanbek Bakiyev. According to Russian leader, one thing is a real partnership of the neighboring countries with Russian Federation, and another is declaration of intent.

«It is one thing to negotiate in earnest, work, meet each other, help each other, and another thing is to decide on the admission of permanent residence for people who lost their jobs. These are different things. You may make conclusions yourself», the head of Russian state said, Prime-Tass informs.

As the president of Russia noted, reached with Viktor Yanukovych agreements on the extension of stay of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia in Crimea and assignment of discounts for Russian gas at about 30% for Ukraine — is «a real partnership step by Russia and Ukraine, a step which we have waited for a long time».

«Precisely in such actions the true intentions of neighbors, friends, relatives, close to us countries are verified. Ukraine today has made this step, as well as Russia», Dmitry Medvedev said.

«If we talk about other countries, we should see how their actions are commensurate with the results they achieve and those actions that are made. If we talk about any kind of discounts and assistance, then there is a question — in the name of what and what for. It should be a partnership», the president of Russia underlined.
