Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko promised to provide in the next five years full freedom of Belarusian entrepreneurs, including the ability to freely dispose of their own funds. The Head of State said about it at the sixth congress of the Federation of Trade Unions on September 16.

«If we continue to work, I’ve determined to give you, industrialists, merchants, businesspeople, all the rights in the next five years to dispose of your own funds, so that you could not criticize the state. It means, that you would be able to live on your money, after you have paid all the taxes and mandatory payments,» the Belarusian president said.

Alexander Lukashenko also emphasized that the government is ready to support entrepreneurs, but only if there are some objective difficulties, but the authorities «will carry no one on their broad shoulders», BelTA informs.

The President said that Belarus is seeking to create a dynamic economy, attractive for both domestic and foreign investors. «Modernization of the economic structure, transition to a higher technological level of production and widespread introduction of innovation in all areas are designed to ensure world competitiveness of the Belarusian products and of our country as a whole», the head of state said.

«Work and be responsible for your labor unions, and I’ll look after respect of fundamental rights, i.e. the right to work and to get a decent salary. That’s all. And then you’ll stop saying: «Mr. President give money, raise wages, etc.», Alexander Lukashenko stressed.

Salaries of officials should not exceed the salaries of ordinary people, Lukashenko

In addition, the head of state said that the state plans to continue to engage public sector. According to the president, the policy will be structured in such a way that civil servants in their income and wage «were not divorced from ordinary people.»

«If you want more, you should cut down the number of stuff. There is a number, we will not reduce your labour rates. Remain in the executive committee 70 people instead of 100 or even 110 people, perform the same function, while collect the remaining 40 rates and pay more to ordinary people. We will not behave brutally, and reduce wages. But we will stick to the level and the standard of justice, which should be», Alexander Lukashenko said.

«Look for your happiness in your companies since the next year. We will monitor and control strictly. We will support the labor collectives. And you should remember the fundamental truth, which is that you have to work in order to get something in your pocket», the President emphasized.
