Lukashenko Put the Agreement on the Customs Code of the CU for Ratification

House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus plans to debate a bill ratifying the agreement on the Customs Code of the Customs Union on June 10. As informed in the parliamentary committee of international affairs and ties with CIS, the document was received for consideration by the lower house of the parliament in the morning of June 8.

A source at the commission informed that the instruction to put forward the agreement on the Customs Code of the Customs Union for ratification in the parliament was given to the government by the president of Belarus, PRIME-TASS informs. Along with the document there also planned to ratify the protocol on introducing amendments and additions to the agreement on the Customs Code.

«Today at 15:00 the lawyers will give us their conclusion on the Customs Code, at 16:00 we will have a meeting of our committee to examine the Customs Code. In the evening, we give it to make photocopies (for MPs — Telegraf), and in two days it will be considered at the session», told the agency’s interlocutor.

Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev, has ratified the agreement on the Customs Code of the Customs Union in June, after it had been endorsed by the State Duma and the Council of the Federation. This document was signed by the leaders of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan on November 27, 2009.
