«Lukashenko
forgot himself in a playing, he missed a lot, and this custom integration’s swamp
started to drag Belarus. Now he see, that the goals he set before — access to
cheap Russian resources, certain preferences — this is not really what he gets.
Finally, it was understood by Belarusian government and now they see that there
is no use. And Lukashenko believes that if things continue, then there is no
sense to affiliate to Customs Union. So, in this sense, he is right», European Radio for Belarus quotes
the words of Leonid Zaiko.

As Telegraf previously
reported, on March 11, President Alexander Lukashenko declared during his meeting with
Deputy Prime Minister, Andrey Kobyakov, that the functioning of
Customs Union should fully correspond to Belarusian interests.

«There is a
classical concept, classical principles known in the world — we agreed with this
Customs Union. If they will withdraw any oil products, oil, gas, sugar, milk, butter,
meat, wheat and make reservations in Customs Union, then nobody needs such
Customs Union», said the President of Belarus.
