Belarus needs capable and energetic people. This was stated by Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting with students, students and talented young people on May 30. He said that talented individuals are "locomotives of the world history," and stressed that "the Belarusian land is rich in outstanding people."
«Their legacy — a unique architectural monuments, masterpieces of scientific thought, literature and art — is our spiritual foundation and a matter of national pride. Today our country needs capable and energetic people. Ambitious plans could be realized only by those who generate new ideas and implement them in life. Support of talent means investing in the future,» BelTA quotes the president.
He recalls that it takes time to notice and develop talent in every child. «An effective work system to discover and develop abilities of children and young people has been created in Belarus for this purpose. Any talent can rely on targeted, focused support and attention from the state,» says the head of state.
According to him, contests, festivals and competitions provide the younger generation enough opportunities to prove themselves. The current year offers two more television project — «Children of new generation» and «I Sing!» to discover bright names the country can be proud of,» said the Belarusian leader.
«The country gives you all a unique start. Dispose of the benefit for themselves and for their country. Let Belarus benefit from your medals and prizes with time,» Alexander Lukashenko urged the participants of the meeting.
Gifted Children Bear High Responsibility, Lukashenko
The President has warned young people against irrational use of their opportunities. «We are proud of your successes. But remember that gifted people bear high responsibility. You have everything ahead. Be active and purposeful,» he said.
In conclusion, Alexander Lukashenko thanked the teachers for their hard work and presented the traditional awards to winners of international contests.
The President invited all attendees to an informal, frank discussion, during which they could share interesting ideas and suggestions.
