The duty of every journalist is to bring balanced and reliable information. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko while greeting guests and participants of the XV International Specialized Exhibition "Mass Media in Belarus," informed the Administration of the President.
«Not without reason press is called the fourth estate, which plays a key role in shaping public opinion. Therefore, fairness and objectivity of every journalist is an important factor of socio-political stability in the country. Your duty is to provide people with balanced and reliable information, realizing the full measure of responsibility for any word, picture or storyline,» said the president in his greeting.
«The exhibition is an effective means of consolidating the professional community, awakening the spirit of creativity and competition, said Alexander Lukashenko. — It facilitates the exchange of interesting experience and original ideas. Our forum has deserved high popularity for 15 years of its existence and has become a significant event in our country and abroad.
The President also expressed confidence that this exhibition would contribute to solving the urgent problems, facing the Belarusian media, as well as further international cooperation in the sphere of press, radio and television.
