The Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko criticized the refusal of European Commission President Jose Barroso to attend the conference on Chernobyl issues, if there would have been the President of Belarus. "As these swines, as Barroso, well, there was some Barroso in Portugal. They kicked him out to the European Commission," said the Belarusian leader.

According to the Belarusian head of state, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is responsible for his absence at the conference in Kiev devoted to the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
«Ask this question to Yanukovych. Why is the Belarusian president not present at their events? Ask them. Unfortunately, lousiness is typical for leadership of Ukraine. I’m not going to ask for it. And I do not intend to be a yes-man for either this president or another», added the Belarusian leader.

On the anniversary of the Chernobyl accident the Belarusian leader visited the regions most affected by Chernobyl.»For me it’s the holy days. In those days I always come here, as I promised that to people. Yes, it may be convenient to lay wreath and go, but I need to work, to see with my own eyes what is necessary to do here. If I stop to come here, people will get lost,» said Alexander Lukashenko.
He also mentioned the foreign politicians that are in favour of the imposition of economic restrictions against the Belarusian leadership. «Just scoundrels. So I do not want to talk about all sorts of Barrosos and other «swines»,» bulls «and others», he said, AFN.
As Telegraf informed, the head of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso said that he would participate in an international conference in Kiev on the occasion of the 25 th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster in the absence of the head of Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko’s press service said he did not intend to meet with the presidents of Ukraine and Russia.
