Lukashenko Threatens to Leave the Union State

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko declared that in case of non-recognition of the presidential elections results by the Russian authorities, Belarus will cease to participate in all the main integration structures of the former Soviet Union. Minsk media source informs that the Belarusian leader has promised to secede from the Union State, the CIS Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Customs Union and others.

According to the source, Alexander Lukashenko said that being found illegal, Belarus’ participation in the above mentioned associations will also be illegal, «REGNUM-Belarus«.

As Telegraf reported, according to the Kremlin source information on October 4, Russian monitors of the presidential elections in Belarus would give their «adequate» assessment of the voting course and its outcome. «Assessment should not be inadequate, it should always agree with the reality. But since nothing of the kind has ever been stated by Russia to Belarus, it makes be worried,» the CEC chairman of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina noted in her turn.
