The president of Belarus congratulated on his behalf and on behalf of the Belarusian people the president of Venezuela Hugo Chavez on Day of declaration of independence. The Belarusian leader expressed confidence that Belarusian and Venezuelan joint efforts would continue fruitful development of further interaction for wealth of two nations. "We consistently and purposefully expand mutual relations in all areas", the president said.
Alexander Lukashenko added that both countries resolutely defend their national interests and values on international scene, BelTA informs.
The head of the Belarusian state also mentioned that Belarus attached great importance to strategic Belarusian-Venezuelan cooperation.
