Lukashenko Urges Not to Play a Joke with the Security of Belarus and Russia

President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, at the meeting with the head of Russia's Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, urged not to connect outstanding issues in economy between the two countries with common security system. However, Belarusian leader admitted that "of course, all this is linked now".

«No matter what relations in economy, in other areas we have, the security of our states, of the Union State is the issue solved long time ago, and no one should play a joke», the president stressed, BelTA informs.

According to the president of Belarus, today it is necessary to «do everything possible to that people in Belarus and Russia do not doubt even for a moment that we cooperate absolutely close in the field of security, defense of our states». Moreover, Alexander Lukashenko assured Nikolai Patrushev that «here, on the western borders, Russian people have strong support and have friends in whatever circumstances we find ourselves and work».

In this regard, Belarusian leader noted that problems in economy between Belarus and Russia could have been avoided if the civilian agencies of the two countries had such relations and result of joint work as Interior and Defense Ministries had.
