Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus has expressed an outrage at expanding the EU list of banned Belarusian officials up to 13 people. "The European Union keeps on pressing on the Belarusian judges and prosecutors," noted the Head of Information Ministry of Belarus, Andrei Savinykh.

According to him, such an approach «casts doubt on the EU’s commitment to the principle of judicial independence.»

«We are convinced that the only real way out of the confrontational logic of action is possible only through equal and constructive dialogue,» said Foreign Ministry official in Belarus and expressed hope that «common sense and logic of constructive cooperation will ultimately prevail.»

As Telegraf previously reported, Monday, May 23, the head of the EU Foreign Ministry extended the black list of Belarusian officials, targerted for restrictive measures, including accounts freezing and the EU entry ban.

May 24, Council of Europe has unveiled the new names of Belarusian officials, judges and prosecutors.
