MIA Detects a Group of Clandestine Realtors in Minsk

Officers of chief department for combating organized crime and corruption (GUBOPiK) of the Interior Ministry detected a group of clandestine realtors in Minsk. For five years, the culprits got more than 35 million rubles from illegal leasing of private premises. 

Belarus General Prosecutor’s Office initiated a criminal case on the fact. At present, there being found all the members of clandestine realtor organization. According to preliminary information, it included more than ten people at different times.

To the date, there filed a criminal case against one member of clandestine organization — 42-year-old director of Spetstranzit. He was charged under part 3 of article 233 of the Criminal Code of Belarus — illegal business activity carried out by an organized group, Ezhednevnik informs.

As investigators reported, the man teamed up with yet unknown individuals in a controllable stable group for joint criminal economic activity. From 2005 to July 26, 2010, he and his accomplices leased private housing to citizens in Minsk district. However, the defendant did not register his business organization to provide realtor services according to procedure prescribed by law.
