The leader of the Union "For modernization," presidential candidate Ales Michalevic suggested creating the Presidential advisory body with the aim to promote a dialogue between the national minorities and the authorities of Belarus. This was stated by the potential candidate at a meeting with representatives of officially unregistered Union of Poles on November 9, 2010.

Ales Michalevic, speaking at a meeting of Hrodna branch of the Union of Poles, stressed the possibility of a potential advisory body to help building Polish language schools in some western areas of Belarus.

However, as explained in the press-service of Ales Michalevic, the unofficial Union of Poles doesn’t support any of the potential candidates, but allows each of them to speak out and present their programs.

«I am very satisfied with the meeting; there were a lot of people with a clear interest; various questions were asked. It has left only positive,» Ales Michalevic commented the meeting.
