A column of military vehicles, moving in Minsk direction, was seen on the highway Minsk-Moscow on Wednesday evening, December 15. The column included five armored personnel carriers and about a dozen trucks with manpower. According to the witnesses, a dozen water cannons arrived in Minsk as well.
The same day Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting on the issues of election campaign and security during the election period, touching upon an opposition rally on Kastrychnitskaya Square right after the closing of the polls on December 19, «Belarusian News» pass.
«God forbid, if anyone crosses that Rubicon, that never should be approached … The reaction of law enforcement, as well as the military, should be adequate and tough,» the president said.
«Не дай Бог, только переступит кто-то тот Рубикон, к которому вообще нельзя близко подходить… Реакция правоохранительных органов, да и военных, должна быть адекватной и жесткой», — заявил президент.
