Minimal Prices For Belarusian Milk Powder Exports Changed

MINSK, 18 March — Belarusian Economy Ministry raised the minimal allowed prices for exported milk power. Export prices for skimmed milk powder have been reduced by 21.7% while prices for full cream powder have been raised by 27.8% as of 18 March. The decision is laid down by Economy Ministry resolution No 49, the press service of the Economy Ministry informs, BelTA.

The press service explained that foreign market prices for these
products changed in February-March 2010 and therefore the existing
minimal prices had to be adjusted. The Economy Ministry had taken into
account the existing market competition and forecasts, prime cost of
skimmed milk powder and full cream powder as well as transportation
costs.

Following Council of Ministers resolution No 1091 «Measures to improve
the state regulation of the export of certain Belarus-made commodities»
of 10 July 1998 the Economy Ministry issued resolution No 52 of 5 March
2008 introduced minimal prices for a list of certain commodities Belarus
exports. The list includes skimmed milk powder and full cream powder.
