Ministry of Finance: External State Debt of Belarus Starts to Decrease

The representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Belarus informed on June, 2nd that the external state debt of the country decreased by 0,8 % in April. On May, 1st the external state debt was about 8.4 billion dollars (24.9 billion roubles), while the sanctioned limit for a year is 11 billion dollars.

Following the results of April the debts, guaranteed by the government, increased by 9,9 % and amounted 1,6 % of the total external state debt (383.9 billion roubles). And the debt of the central government amounted 98,4 % of the given indicator (24.58 billion roubles), having decreased in April by 0,9 %, BelTA informs.

The representatives of the Ministry of Finance also emphasized the amount of the internal debt decreased in April by 0,1 % to 8.3 billion roubles. The debts guaranteed by the government came to six billion roubles (growth on 1,4 %), and a debt of the central government came to 2.3 billion roubles (reduction on 3,8 %).

The total amount of the debts in April decreased by 0,6 % to 33.5 billion roubles in the beginning of May.
