Belarusian Interior Ministry starts official inspections on the fact of violations committed by law enforcement officers of Grodno region. It was informed on May 26 by Interior Minister, Anatoly Kuleshov. The reason for that is President Alexander Lukashenko's criticism expressed at a recent meeting with Grodno region officials.

«We have grasped this criticism objectively and will do everything we can to stop these facts, to put it mildly, of law enforcement officials’ outrageous attitude to their duties, particularly the policemen», BelTA quotes Anatoly Kuleshov.

According to the minister, Ministry of Interior has never suppressed such «shameful facts» and will never do. «If we establish the violation of criminal legislation, the perpetrators will be prosecuted. We’ll make no indulgences and allowances to anyone», the MIA head said.

The head of state criticized the law enforcement agencies of Grodno region for some unreasonable detentions of business leaders. Alexander Lukashenko demanded law enforcement officers to learn how to distinguish between ordinary errors, actions associated with the risk in the current situation and a crime.
