In addition, Department of Aviation has not decided yet on how the flights from Minsk National airport will be operated on Tuesday, April 20, in the face of rising concentration of volcanic dust in the air over Belarus.

«Belarusian aviation services control the situation related to the spread of volcanic cloud, liaise with colleagues from Russia, Ukraine and other European countries», told in the department. «An information of dust cloud’s movement comes to us continuously. All the data are being monitored and analyzed by our staff in cooperation with representatives of Minsk National airport, Belavia national airline, Belaeronavigation company and republican hydro meteorological center».

Department of Aviation also informed that aviation services created special staff, which are constantly analyzing the wind maps and incoming information on the movement of volcanic ash clouds. «So far, we can not say how we will work on April 20, however, if there is a need, then the restriction on aircrafts’ movement will be introduced again», emphasized in the department.
