UCP leader Anatoly Lebedko said that Minsk criminal investigation had become interested in him. According to an opposition politician, some men who identified themselves as employees of the criminal investigation department of the Central district of Minsk came at his place about 6:00 on Friday, October 22.
Anatoly Lebedko did not open the door to law enforcement agencies, but tried to talk to them. Department officers stated that they wanted to ask him some questions about a certain case, the correspondent of the Telegraf reports.
Department officers refused to explain anything about the specific case in question, but simply asked the politician to open the door. However, Anatoly Lebedko expressed his willingness to communicate with law enforcement authorities only in the manner prescribed by law.
Anatoly Lebedko suggested that such an early visit of law enforcement authorities could be attributed to his appeal to the prosecutor on the fact of falsification of the previous presidential election. At the same time, Anatoly Lebedko didn’t expect such an expediting consideration of his statement by the authorities, so he admits that the morning visit may be related to something else. «The continuation may follow,» the UCP leader said.
