Minsk's Satellite Towns to Have Capital's Living Conditions, Batura

In satellite towns, there will be created the same living conditions as in Minsk. It was reported by the chairman of Minsk Regional Executive Committee, Boris Batura. In particular, in satellite towns, at first, there will be to created infrastructure. "I think we'll build hypermarkets in Logoisk, Zaslavl and Dzerzhinsk earlier then they become full-fledged satellite towns", Boris Batura said.

«Creation of satellite towns is a right direction, because the capital is nearing its limits», the chairman of Minsk Regional Executive Committee said, BelTA informs.

According to Boris Batura, at present there approved program to develop satellite towns, and active work in Logoisk to begin next year. «It’s difficult to compete with the capital, but Minsk district and surrounding districts should look not worse than Minsk», the governor stressed.

As Telegraf previously reported, Minsk will have nine satellite towns, what is provided by the state program for the construction of large residential areas for Minsk dwellers in satellite towns and production facilities’ removal from the capital to other towns of the Republic.

The main purpose of the program is to optimize Minsk population and to remove production facilities, not complying with regulations of general capital’s planning scheme, to other towns of the Republic. 18 facilities are planned to be removed to other production grounds in Minsk or out of its borders by 2020.
