The authorities of the Polish city of Radom will establish a monument to Belarusian pilots who sacrificed their lives but didn't let the airplane — crashed during the air show in August 2009 — to fall on houses.

According to Polish authorities, there will be Su-27 airplane and two crosses — eastern, which is usually considered as Orthodox, and Western, which is usually considered as Catholic, — on two-meter granite monuments. Turbine blades of battle plane — found at the place of the accident — will be also used in monuments’ design, KAI agency informs.

On March 26, in the church of Radom, there will be opened a memorial plaque with the names of the dead pilots, and Field Bishop of Polish Army, Tadeusz Ploski, will carry out the requiem mass.

It is planned that the Chief of Polish Air Forces, General Andrzej Blasik, and the head of Radom city, Andrzej Koshtovnyak, will take part in the memorial ceremony, RIA Novosti reports.
