General Prosecutor's Office of Belarus sent an official letter to top-management of Moscow-Minsk Bank. It contains demands to take measures to ensure the safety of banking system, as well as personal safety of bank employees, carrying cash services, and customers, reported in General Prosecutor's Office.

Such actions of General Prosecutor’s Office are caused by the fact that over past few months there were organized two attacks on Moscow-Minsk Bank’s staff. It evidences bank officials’ improper performance of their duties to ensure personal safety of staff and clients.

According to the prosecutor’s office representatives, just alarm installation can not ensure the safety of life and health of staff and clients in full.

Thus, on May 31, 2010, in Minsk, a young man attacked central bank office № 10 on 30 Yesenina str, seized bank’s cash totaling more than 80 million rubles.

On August 7, 2010, in Minsk, a masked man tried to rob an unguarded bank’s office, located on Lobanka str. Police managed to detain 32-years old offender, now he faces up to 10 years’ imprisonment.

In both cases, there was not installed video surveillance system in bank offices. Security posts in buildings were not provided, although room configuration needed it. Not all the offices of the bank are equipped with doors, and it allows outsiders to penetrate freely into the bank.
