Mozyr Oil Refinery plans to process about 250 tones of Venezuelan oil each month. It was reported by the representative of the enterprise administration. "In accordance with preliminary plans it's proposed that till the end of this year Mozyr Oil Refinery will receive 240-250 thousand tons of oil from Venezuela", the representative of the plant said.
«These are three tankers of 80 thousand tons each. The oil will be delivered by the same route through the territory of Ukraine and processed on commission terms. In order to improve the process of refining the total volume of raw materials, it’s being discussed the possibility to mix Venezuelan and Russian oil, what will allow to refine Belarusian oil more efficiently — basing on utilization of catalytic cracking complex», Itar-Tass quoted the words of the refinery administration representative.
According to the source, full plant work loading with Venezuelan oil in the amount of 240-250 thousand tons will give the refinery the possibility to reach optimal processing capacity — 22 thousand tons per day or approximately 660 tones per month. The representative of the plant also noted that in May, Mozyr oil refinery bought oil at an average of 436 dollars per ton (551 dollars per ton with the payment of standard duty and 267 dollars per ton — duty-free). He also recalled that last year the factory processed about one million tons of oil every month.
«This year, the plant plans to process about eight million tons of oil. To maintain the minimum load process, Mozyr refineries has to process at least 6.3 million tons of oil a year. In this case, the plant should process 19 thousand tons of oil per day. The target is to reach the maximum load of 22 tons per day, but in this case the refinery must attract crude oil on commission terms in the amount of 11 thousand tons per month», the representative of Mozyr Oil Refinery administration said.
