Olga Niakliaeva, wife of former presidential candidate Vladimir Niakliaeu, filed a petition to Kastryhnitski police department of Minsk on December 20 on the fact of the abduction of her husband from the hospital emergency room in Minsk. According to Telegraf journalist, currently Olga Niakliaeva has no idea of where and in what condition her husband is.

At a press conference in Minsk, Olga Niakliaeva reported that none of the Prosecutor General of Belarus or the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the KGB or the police department of Minsk, where the family and the lawyer of Vladimir Niakliaeu had addressed to, could provide information on her husband’s whereabouts. Olga Niakliaeva also gave details to Telegraf journalist about her husband’s kidnapping from hospital.

«When at hospital, doctors diagnosed him with traumatic brain injury, concussion, face and eye bruises and bruised chest. But I’m sure that the senior doctor was pressured. The doctor behaved inadequate — I suspect that it is connected with KGB. The doctor convened a consultation closer to the time of abduction. He said that husband’s conditions had improved, that he had tried to stand, but had felt worse. So he offered a choice — either to go home or go back, as he had originally told that such injuries required a must-pass re-examination after 12 hours. Initially, the doctor kindly asked me to leave Vladimir Prokofyevich in hospital,» Olga Niakliaeva said.

During the kidnapping, wife of Vladimir Niakliaeu was in the room, where the former presidential candidate was placed. According to Olga Niakliaeva, head physician of the hospital first convened a new council about 24:00, where doctors determined that Vladimir Niakliaeu had no brain injury, and his condition had improved. But Olga Niakliaeva flatly refused to leave the hospital, fearing for the health of her husband.

According to Olga Niakliaeva, chief physician suggested that they would leave the hospital by the back door. However, the woman became suspicious that the security services would wait for them
there.

«15 minutes later some healthy thugs in civilian clothes just broke into the room. I blocked their way, said: «Where are you going? This is the ward of resuscitation. Who let you in here?» No doctors, no nurses, no policeman on duty were nearby at that moment. No one came at my cries. I began to stop them. They shoved me, clasped my hands. I started to cry. I screamed very loudly. I shouted the name of my husband. No one came! That was the resuscitation, where nurses should be on duty round the clock!» Olga Niakliaeva said, noting that people had shown no permits.

Further, according to the candidate’s wife, the men tried to grab Vladimir Niakliaeu and take him away from the ward. Since the candidate was unable to walk independently, the men removed the blanket from the bed, put Vladimir Niakliaeu in it and dragged him on the floor.

«There should be witnesses, because when he was pulled out of the ward, somebody closed the door and kept it close not to let me out. I banged on the door; I almost broke the glass in it. I cried so loud that I can’t imagine how one could not hear me,» Olga Niakliaeva said.

According to the candidate’s wife, Vladimir Niakliaeu was dragged out of the hospital corridor, one of the people, who’s keeping the door, called a policeman on duty and asked to release her from the ward a bit later. After the incident, Olga Niakliaeva appealed to the head physician. The consignment certificate proved only bruises, no head trauma was mentioned; they refused to extradite the copies of documents with the initial diagnosis, made by the chief doctor, to the wife of Vladimir Niakliaeu.
